Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Roscommon Bucks (Roscommon, MI), 46-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pine River Area upgrades its record to 6-14 on the campaign. The Bucks travel to Kalkaska (Kalkaska, MI) to play the Blazers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 28. The Blazers come into the bout with a record of 5-14. Kalkaska lost 61-41 in their recent league bout against Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI)

Next up, the Bucks play the Lake City Trojans (Lake City, MI) in a Highland bout, on Saturday, February 25. Roscommon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 31-20 league loss to McBain (McBain, MI).
