Maine High School Basketball - Calais fells Jonesport-Beals
January 12, 2023: Calais, ME 04619 Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME), 87-68 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Calais upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Blue Devils host Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME) to play the Lynx in a C North bout on Friday, January 13. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Mattanawcook lost 50-48 in their recent league bout against Central (East Corinth, ME)
Next up, the Royals play the Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME) in a D North bout, on Saturday, January 14. Jonesport-Beals will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 56-51 league loss to Machias (Machias, ME).
