Maine High School Basketball - Calais can't hold off Washington Academy
January 4, 2023: East Machias, ME 04630 The Washington Academy Raiders basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Calais Blue Devils to 62 in the Raiders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Raiders now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Washington Academy will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 69-39 league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-5.
The Blue Devils (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lee Academy (Lee, ME). The Pandas come into the C North contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Lee Academy edged Machias (Machias, ME), 73-61, in a non-league contest.
