Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI), 63-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Iron Mountain upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Kingsford (Kingsford, MI) to play the Flivvers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Flivvers go into the bout with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Eskymos play the Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Escanaba will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 63-50 non-league loss to Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
