In Thursday's non-league match, the host University Hawks basketball team scored a decisive 85-38 triumph over the Preston Knights.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Morgantown Mohigans (Morgantown, WV) in a Two Rivers match, on Saturday, January 14. University will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Mohigans enter the match with a 5-2 record after their 64-34 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV).
