The Shaler Area Titans overcame the host Armstrong River Hawks basketball squad by a tally of 73-62 in Friday's league challenge.

With the victory, Shaler Area improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Titans host Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Foxes in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Foxes come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Fox Chapel won 49-44 in their recent league challenge against Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the River Hawks play the Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Armstrong will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 72-46 league loss to Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA).
