The Buena Vista Longhorns basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Comstock Panthers to 24 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iraan for a 1A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Buena Vista will battle a Braves team coming off a 69-40 league win over Comstock (Comstock, TX). The Braves record now stands at 19-4.

The Panthers (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Rankin (Rankin, TX). The Red Devils enter the 1A Region II District 10 contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Rankin ran past Sanderson (Sanderson, TX), 86-30, in a league contest.
