Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bushland Falcons (Bushland, TX) and the visiting River Road Wildcats (Amarillo, TX), saw Bushland's basketball squad hold off River Road by a tally of 52-47.

With the victory, Bushland improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Dalhart (Dalhart, TX) to play the Wolves in a 3A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Dalhart won 45-42 in their recent league challenge against Spearman (Spearman, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Tulia Hornets (Tulia, TX) in a 3A Region I District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. River Road will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 60-44 league loss to Canadian (Canadian, TX).
