The Hanna Golden Eagles basketball team (Brownsville, TX), was nudged 72-69 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX)

The Falcons now sport a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Benito for a 6A Region IV District 32 battle on Monday, January 15. Los Fresnos will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 64-42 league loss to Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Greyhounds record now stands at 5-10.

The Golden Eagles (18-10) will now prepare for their battle against Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Panthers come into the 6A Region IV District 32 battle with a 9-15 record. In their last battle, Weslaco was nudged by Rivera (Brownsville, TX), 37-26, in a league battle.
