January 12, 2024: Hermleigh, TX 79526 Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Trent Gorillas (Trent, TX), 75-22 in a league bout.
With the win, Hermleigh upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Highland (Roscoe, TX) to clash with the Hornets in a 1A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Highland lost 56-24 in their recent league bout against Westbrook (Westbrook, TX)
In their next game, the Gorillas face the Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 game, on Tuesday, January 16. Trent will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 4-6 record after their 79-40 league win over Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX).
