Texas High School Basketball - Hermleigh tops Trent
January 29, 2024: Trent, TX 79561 Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Trent Gorillas (Trent, TX), 65-46 in a league bout.
With the victory, Hermleigh upgrades its record to 11-16 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Highland (Roscoe, TX) to play the Hornets in a 1A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, February 2. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-16. Highland lost 67-18 in their recent league bout against Westbrook (Westbrook, TX)
Next up, the Gorillas play the Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, February 2. Trent will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 71-16 league win over Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX).
