Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hug Hawks (Reno, NV) and the visiting South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA), saw Hug's basketball squad overcome South Tahoe by a tally of 69-57.

With the victory, Hug improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Sparks (Sparks, NV) to confront the Railroaders in a 3A Northern - West challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a record of 2-13. Sparks lost 65-57 in their recent league challenge against North Valleys (Reno, NV)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Truckee Wolverines (Truckee, CA) in a 3A Northern - West challenge, on Sunday, January 14. South Tahoe will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 61-39 league loss to Wooster (Reno, NV).
