Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lund Mustangs (Lund, NV) and the host Jackpot Jaguars (Jackpot, NV), saw Lund's basketball squad hold off Jackpot by a count of 43-40.

With the victory, Lund upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Wells (Wells, NV) to play the Leopards in a 1A East challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Leopards come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Wells lost 70-11 in their recent league challenge against Eureka (Eureka, NV)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) in a 1A East challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Jackpot will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Vandals come into the challenge with a 12-0 record after their 70-11 league win over Wells (Wells, NV).
