Texas High School Basketball - Sweetwater edges Levelland
January 12, 2024: Sweetwater, TX 79556 The Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Levelland Lobos (Levelland, TX), 56-53 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Tigers go into the 4A Region I District 5 test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Snyder got by Big Spring (Big Spring, TX), 37-33, in a league test.
The Lobos now own a 9-15 record. They play next when they host Estacado for a 4A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 16. Levelland will encounter a Matadors squad coming off a 97-37 league win over Lake View (San Angelo, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 16-7.
