January 12, 2024: Simms, TX 75574 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bowie Pirates (Simms, TX) and the visiting Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX), saw Bowie's basketball squad overcome Rivercrest by a tally of 50-32.
With the victory, Bowie improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Maud (Maud, TX) to confront the Cardinals in a 2A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Maud lost 39-27 in their recent league challenge against Detroit (Detroit, TX)
Next up, the Rebels confront the Harts Bluff Bulldogs (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a 2A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Rivercrest will attempt to improve on its 9-17 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 46-38 league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, TX).
