Alaska High School Basketball - Chugiak nipped by South Anchorage
January 12, 2024: Chugiak, AK 99567 The South Anchorage Wolverines tipped the host Chugiak Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 29-24 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Wolverines face the Thunder Mountain Falcons (Juneau, AK) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 18. South Anchorage will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Falcons enter the game with a 9-0 record after their 62-13 non-league win over Lumen Christi (Anchorage, AK).
With the defeat, Chugiak moves to 3-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Dimond (Anchorage, AK) to face the Lynx in a 4A Cook Inlet game on Tuesday, January 16. The Lynx enter the game with a record of 7-3. Dimond won 45-39 in their recent non-league game against Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK)
