Alaska High School Basketball - Chugiak holds off West Anchorage
February 20, 2024: Chugiak, AK 99567 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) and the visiting West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK), saw Chugiak's basketball squad hold off West Anchorage by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, Chugiak improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Service (Anchorage, AK) to confront the Cougars in a 4A Cook Inlet challenge on Friday, February 23. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Service won 54-48 in their recent league challenge against Bartlett (Anchorage, AK)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Dimond Lynx (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet challenge, on Friday, February 23. West Anchorage will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 66-49 league win over South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
