In Friday's league outing, the Paradise Valley Trojans (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad nipped the visiting Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ), by a margin of 30-28.

The Trojans (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs go into the 5A Northwest outing with a 14-4 record. In their last outing, Sunrise Mountain was tipped by Kellis (Glendale, AZ), 64-37, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Ironwood for a 5A Northwest outing on Tuesday, January 16. Willow Canyon will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 43-39 league loss to Apollo (Glendale, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 4-12.
