Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the visiting Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), saw East Gaston's basketball squad hold off Thomas Jefferson by a tally of 43-38.

With the victory, East Gaston improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Shelby (Shelby, NC) to play the Golden Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 16.
