Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) backers were content Friday as they observed their basketball team smash the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 74-41 in a league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA) in a Virginia Christian - Southwest game, on Tuesday, January 17. Auburn will attempt to move on its 11-4 season record. The Ospreys enter the game with a 6-5 record after their 47-38 non-league loss to Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA).
