In Friday's league outing, the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) basketball squad felled the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), by a margin of 46-37.

The Blue Devils (5-11) will now prepare for their outing against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears go into the Mountain Empire outing with a 12-6 record.
