In Tuesday's league outing, the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), by a margin of 54-44.

The Bears (15-6) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the Mountain Empire outing with a 7-13 record. In their last outing, Fort Chiswell thwarted Galax (Galax, VA), 61-53, in a league outing.
