Massachusetts High School Basketball - Barnstable fells Nantucket
January 13, 2023: Nantucket, MA 02554 Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA), 62-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Barnstable upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Red Hawks host Nauset Regional (North Eastham, MA) to clash with the Warriors in a Cape & Islands - Atlantic bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Nauset Regional won 65-47 in their recent non-league bout against Plymouth North (Plymouth, MA)
Next up, the Whalers clash with the Sandwich Blue Knights (East Sandwich, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Nantucket will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Blue Knights go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 50-34 non-league loss to Fairhaven (Fairhaven, MA).
