Texas High School Basketball - Bushland holds off River Road
January 13, 2023: Amarillo, TX 79108 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bushland Falcons (Bushland, TX) and the host River Road Wildcats (Amarillo, TX), saw Bushland's basketball squad hold off River Road by a tally of 37-36.
With the victory, Bushland improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Dalhart (Dalhart, TX) to confront the Wolves in a 3A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 7-14. Dalhart lost 51-39 in their recent league challenge against Spearman (Spearman, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Tulia Hornets (Tulia, TX) in a 3A Region I District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. River Road will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 62-16 non-league loss to Idalou (Idalou, TX).
