Texas High School Basketball - Spearman nips River Road

January 27, 2023: Amarillo, TX 79108

Spearman Lynx (Spearman, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host River Road Wildcats (Amarillo, TX), 48-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spearman upgrades its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Lynx host Dalhart (Dalhart, TX) to play the Wolves in a 3A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 10-14.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Bushland Falcons (Bushland, TX) in a 3A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. River Road will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 74-42 league win over Tulia (Tulia, TX).
