January 13, 2023: Edison, GA 39846 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) and the visiting Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA), saw Calhoun County's basketball squad overcome Miller County by a tally of 65-49.
With the victory, Calhoun County improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Quitman County (Georgetown, GA) to confront the Hornets in a A D2 Region 1A challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Quitman County lost 89-28 in their recent league challenge against Terrell County (Dawson, GA)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Miller County will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 55-47 league loss to Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA).
