West Virginia High School Basketball - Fort Frye fells Point Pleasant

January 13, 2023: Point Pleasant, WV 25550

Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fort Frye upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Cadets host Caldwell (Caldwell, OH) to play the Redskins in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Caldwell won 75-61 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV)

Next up, the Big Blacks play the Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Point Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 69-54 league loss to Waterford (Waterford, OH).
