January 13, 2023: Olathe, KS 66062 The Lawrence Free State Firebirds (Lawrence, KS) basketball knocked off the host Olathe East Hawks (Olathe, KS), 60-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Firebirds (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Shawnee Mission North (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Bison go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Shawnee Mission North went down by Shawnee Mission South (Shawnee Mission, KS), 44-34, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to McPherson for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Olathe East will encounter a Bullpups squad coming off a 71-48 non-league win over Mulvane (Mulvane, KS). The Bullpups record now stands at 8-1.
