The Northern Guilford Nighthawks basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Western Guilford Hornets to 53 in the Nighthawks league triumph on Friday.

The Nighthawks now hold a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Grimsley for a 4A Conference 55 bout on Friday, January 20. Northern Guilford will play a Whirlies squad coming off a 78-28 non-league win over Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 13-4.

Next up, the Hornets play the Ragsdale Tigers (Jamestown, NC) in a 4A Conference 55 bout, on Friday, January 20. Western Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 81-64 non-league loss to Walkertown (Walkertown, NC).
