The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host Pillager Huskies to 70 in the Wolverines league victory on Friday.

The Wolverines now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sebeka for a A Section 5 contest on Thursday, January 19. Wadena-Deer Creek will battle a Trojans team coming off a 74-53 league loss to Menahga (Menahga, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 1-9.

The Huskies (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Henning (Henning, MN). The Hornets come into the A Section 6 contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Henning was nudged by Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN), 71-70, in a non-league contest.
