Red Cloud Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD), 59-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Red Cloud upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Crusaders host Little Wound (Kyle, SD) to play the Mustangs in a A Region 7 bout on Monday, January 16. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Little Wound won 62-52 in their recent league bout against Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Wall Eagles (Wall, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Custer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 63-15 non-league win over Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD).
