Cypress Lake Panthers (Fort Myers, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Island Coast Gators (Cape Coral, FL), 43-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Cypress Lake upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Panthers host Ida Baker (Cape Coral, FL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Gators clash with the North Fort Myers Red Knights (North Fort Myers, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Island Coast will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Red Knights go into the bout with a 0-14 record after their 62-30 non-league loss to Oasis (Cape Coral, FL).
