The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Deshler Dragons to 37 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bruning-Davenport/Shickley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. McCool Junction will meet a Eagles team coming off a 44-41 non-league win over Parkview Christian (Lincoln, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 12-1.

The Dragons (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Heartland (Henderson, NE). The Huskies enter the D1 District 6 contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Heartland was outscored by Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 58-34, in a non-league contest.
