Virginia High School Basketball - Rural Retreat over Lebanon

January 13, 2023: Lebanon, VA 24266

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) and the host Lebanon Pioneers (Lebanon, VA), saw Rural Retreat's basketball squad overcome Lebanon by a tally of 54-42.

With the victory, Rural Retreat improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Northwood (Saltville, VA) to confront the Panthers in a Hogoheegee challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-13.

Next up, the Pioneers confront the Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Lebanon will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 59-33 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA).
