January 13, 2023: New Braunfels, TX 78130 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) and the host New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX), saw Steele's basketball squad overcome New Braunfels by a tally of 59-39.
With the victory, Steele improves its record to 19-10 on the campaign. The Knights host San Marcos (San Marcos, TX) to confront the Rattlers in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 12-14. San Marcos lost 62-57 in their recent league challenge against Clemens (Schertz, TX)
Next up, the Unicorns confront the East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. New Braunfels will attempt to improve on its 14-14 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 20-9 record after their 57-45 league loss to Judson (Converse, TX).
