Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), 42-13 in a league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Red Tornadoes host Statesville (Statesville, NC) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Statesville lost 40-39 in their recent non-league bout against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC)

Next up, the Tigers play the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Foard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 40-39 non-league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC).
