In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), by a margin of 39-22.

The Red Tornadoes (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Hickory Christian Academy was beaten by Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC), 64-30, in a non-league outing.
