Texas High School Basketball - Calvary Academy tops Trinity
January 13, 2024: Denton, TX 76209 Calvary Academy Lions (Denton, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Trinity Chargers (Midland, TX), 53-34 in a league bout.
With the victory, Calvary Academy upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Lions host Temple Christian (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Eagles in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout on Friday, January 19. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-8.
Next up, the Chargers play the Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 66-52 league win over Covenant Classical (Fort Worth, TX).
