Virginia High School Basketball - Northside nips Glass
January 13, 2024: Roanoke, VA 24019 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) and the visiting Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA), saw Northside's basketball squad hold off Glass by a count of 59-52.
With the victory, Northside upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host William Byrd (Vinton, VA) to play the Terriers in a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. William Byrd won 41-30 in their recent league challenge against Staunton River (Moneta, VA)
Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) in a Seminole challenge, on Friday, January 19. Glass will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 84-61 league win over Liberty (Bedford, VA).
