Virginia High School Basketball - Northside tops Fleming
January 5, 2024: Roanoke, VA 24019 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) and the visiting Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA), saw Northside's basketball squad knock off Fleming by a count of 67-55.
With the victory, Northside upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Staunton River (Moneta, VA) to play the Golden Eagles in a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Staunton River won 44-41 in their recent league challenge against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
Next up, the Colonels play the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Fleming will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 81-60 league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
