Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Round Valley Elks (Eagar, AZ) and the visiting Hopi Bruins (Keams Canyon, AZ), saw Round Valley's basketball squad hold off Hopi by a tally of 44-39.

With the victory, Round Valley improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 15. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Blue Ridge won 52-39 in their recent league challenge against Winslow (Winslow, AZ)

Next up, the Bruins confront the Many Farms Lobos (Many Farms, AZ) in a 2A North challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Hopi will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 48-45 league win over Pinon (Pinon, AZ).
