In Monday's non-league contest, the host East Poinsett County Warriors basketball team scored a big 63-23 win over the Armorel Tigers.

The Warriors (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bay (Bay, AR). The Yellowjackets come into the 2A Region 3 contest with a 2-15 record.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons (Paragould, AR) in a 1A Region 3 contest, on Thursday, January 16. Armorel will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 3-12 record after their 48-18 league loss to Maynard (Maynard, AR).
