January 13, 2025: Readfield, ME 04355 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) and the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), observed Spruce Mountain's basketball team overcome Maranacook by a score of 62-45.
The Phoenix (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME). The Greyhounds come into the B South challenge with a 0-13 record. In their last challenge, Lisbon dropped by Winthrop (Winthrop, ME), 77-22, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Black Bears battle the Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 15. Maranacook will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 77-22 non-league win over Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME).
