Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Chester Flyers (Chester, SD) and the host Freeman Flyers (Freeman, SD), saw Chester's basketball squad overcome Freeman by a tally of 47-38.

With the victory, Chester improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Flyers host Sioux Valley (Volga, SD) to confront the Cossacks in a A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Cossacks come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Sioux Valley won 74-37 in their recent non-league challenge against McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD)

Next up, the Flyers confront the Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD) in a B Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Freeman will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 69-41 league loss to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD).
