January 14, 2023: Adel, GA 31620 The Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) basketball felled the visiting Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA), 73-62 in Saturday's league test.
The Hornets (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Tift County was beaten by Lee County (Leesburg, GA), 42-31, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Atkinson County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Jeff Davis will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 88-75 non-league loss to Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-14.
