In Saturday's non-league outing, the Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN) basketball squad beat the host Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN), by a margin of 49-34.

The Chargers (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Knox (Bicknell, IN). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 2-13 record. In their last outing, North Knox was beaten by Shoals (Shoals, IN), 50-41, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Barr-Reeve for a Blue Chip outing on Friday, January 20. Wood Memorial will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 44-36 league loss to Loogootee (Loogootee, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 8-6.
