In Saturday's league outing, the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) basketball squad beat the host Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL), by a count of 39-28.

The Lions (18-4) will now prepare for their outing against St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Fighting Saints go into the non-league outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, St. Charles East was topped by Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL), 48-45, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now hold a 14-7 record. They play next when they travel to Glenbard West for a West Suburban - Silver outing on Tuesday, January 17.
