Illinois High School Basketball - Lyons tops St. Charles East
January 16, 2023: LaGrange, IL 60525 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) and the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), saw Lyons's basketball squad knock off St. Charles East by a tally of 63-48.
With the victory, Lyons improves its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to play the Huskies in a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 0-20. Oak Park-River Forest lost 63-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Hyde Park (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Fighting Saints play the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) in a DuKane challenge, on Thursday, January 19. St. Charles East will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 46-39 non-league win over Yorkville (Yorkville, IL).
