The Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) basketball edged the host Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX), 73-69 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Leopards now possess a 20-5 record. They play next when they host Denison for a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, January 17. Lovejoy will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 71-64 league loss to Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Anna falls to 8-17 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to McKinney North (McKinney, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-11. McKinney North won 52-41 in their recent league bout against Sherman (Sherman, TX)
