Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), 78-27 in a league match.

With the victory, Braxton County advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV) to face the Highlanders in a Little Kanawha - East match on Friday, January 17. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 3-5. Webster County lost 66-49 in their recent league match against Roane County (Spencer, WV)

The Red Devils now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wirt County for a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. Calhoun will face a Tigers squad coming off a 50-48 league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 1-6.
